Washington took the lead off Matt Garza in the first inning as they scored 5 runs on 5 base hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. Washington banged out 12 hits on the night. The victory went to Duchscherer(15-4) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Garza(11-4) absorbed the loss.
