Atlanta erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 2 hits. Jose Reyes started the inning off right when he lined a base-hit. Reyes stole second with some aggressive base running. Ichiro Suzuki then laid down a sacrifice bunt. Jones was up next and he slapped a one-base hit. Atlanta continued their aggressive style with another stolen base. Albert Pujols joined his teammates in the uprising and was walked intentionally. Bobby Jenks then fired a sharp breaking ball that appeared to cross-up the catcher. In any event, it got by him and was ruled a passed ball. Alex Rodriguez then was walked intentionally to load the bases. Derek Jeter came up and he hit a sacrifice fly. The Cincinnati offense proved no trouble in the bottom of the 9th. Jonathan Papelbon(5-3) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Mariano Rivera earned his 48th save. Jenks(3-5) absorbed the loss in relief. Erick Noland was all smiles after the game, 'To pull a game out in your last at bats, is a beautiful feeling - and did you see how quiet it got out there? You could have heard a pin drop when we took the lead. But, hey, that's what makes baseball so great - as the great sage Yogi Berra says, 'it's not over 'til its over.' FLORIDA AT ST. San Francisco took care of Boston with no trouble in the bottom of the 9th. Jered Weaver(9-18) was given the loss.
