The winning run, and the only run, was scored by Philadelphia in the 7th inning. After two were out Teoscar Hernandez blasted a solo shot. Philadelphia had only 2 hits for the night. Baz(11-11) went 7 innings allowing no runs for the win. Tanner Scott was credited with his 29th save. The loss was charged to Sean Manaea(6-14). He allowed just 2 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings. ST. In the top of the 7th inning St. Louis scored 3 runs when they had 4 base hits. The highlight belonged to Willy Adames who quieted the home crowd when he slapped a single bringing in two baserunners. Kenley Jansen was perfect in relief and gained credit for his 35th save. Peralta(6-7) got the win allowing no runs in 3 innings. Aaron Nola(6-9) was the losing pitcher. Despite losing, he struckout 11 St. Louis batters in 6 and 1/3 innings. St. Louis now has a record of 63-75. With the loss, the Chicago (AL) ballclub's record is 54-84, worst in the division. TORONTO(62-76) AT ATLANTA(72-66) Blue Jays....... 0 2 0 0 1 2 0 0 1 - 6 10 0 Braves.......... 0 0 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 3 8 0 Win:Ober(11-12) Loss:Berrios(10-10) Save:Weaver(28th) Homeruns- S.Hilliard(17th), D.Moore(5th), T.Taylor-2(5th) Bailey Ober dominated striking out 12 Atlanta batters and center fielder Tyrone Taylor knocked 2 homeruns as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Atlanta Braves 6 to 3 at Truist Park. Taylor was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He delivered a solo blast in the 5th inning, ripped a one-base hit in the 7th inning and hit a bases-empty home run in the 9th inning. Luke Weaver was great in relief and recorded his 28th save. Ober(11-12) got the win allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Jose Berrios(10-10) was hit with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 5 and 2/3 innings. Ober didn't realize how many strikeouts he was racking up. When told he had 12 he was obviously surprised, 'No kidding? Man, I knew that I had a decent total, but I didn't think I had K'd that many. Say, that's pretty good, isn't it?'
