Turner provided the offensive punch. He banged out a single in the 1st inning and launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th inning. Both teams ended up with 6 hits on the night. The win went to Gavin Williams(3-4) who allowed 3 runs in 7 innings. The loss was charged to Corbin Burnes(3-3). hits.  That scoring would be all that was needed.  The pitchers took over
after the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score again.

In the 2nd inning Kansas City scored 4 runs with the help of 3 hits.  The key
offensive moment was provided by Chapman who made the crowd come alive when
he lofted a three-run bomb.  Kansas City had a total of 12 hits for the game.
 
Emmet Sheehan(3-0) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 5 innings. Greg
Weissert earned the save, his 1st.  Will Warren(0-3) absorbed the loss.  He
was unable to control the Kansas City offense and allowed 6 hits and 3 walks
in 2 and 1/3 innings.
