45,399 fans watched an exciting game at Nationals Park. The Cleveland Indians
put 4 runs on the scoreboard in the 3rd inning and topped the Washington
Nationals by the slimmest of margins, 8 to 7.

The game was deadlocked at 7 after nine full innings. Cleveland won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning. Mike Aviles smashed a solo-shot out of
the park (his 1st of the season). Nate McLouth stepped up next and he
stroked a base-hit. Aaron Miles then laid down a sacrifice bunt. Kelly
Shoppach was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. This was a game of many
highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 5 times in
all.

The win was credited to Joakim Soria(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing 1 run.
Renyel Pinto(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and
2 hits in 1 inning.
