WEB GEMS- Top 6th: Miguel Tejada robbed Alexi Casilla of a base hit.
Nelson Cruz cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the
Oakland Athletics by a score of 6 to 5.
Los Angeles had 3 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Brandon Phillips opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk. Yadier
Molina stepped up next and he laced a base-knock. After another out, Miguel
Tejada struck out, unable to help the rally. Cruz followed and he rifled a
three-run blast (his 2nd of the season). Oakland had 12 hits in the game
while Los Angeles had 9, but Los Angeles had the more timely hits.
Ervin Santana(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 6 and 1/3
innings. Santana got relief help from Billy Wagner who gained credit for his
3rd save. Zack Greinke(1-1) was charged with the loss.
