Center fielder Josh Hamilton cracked 2 homeruns at Jacobs Field as the Los
Angeles Dodgers beat the Cleveland Indians by the count of 8 to 5.
Hamilton had a great evening at the plate. He cracked a solo homerun in the
2nd inning, lined a single in the 4th inning and launched a rocket-shot out
of the park for a Grand Slam homerun (his 4th of the season) in the 7th
inning. Los Angeles managed 9 hits in their victory.
Ervin Santana(2-1) was the winner allowing 5 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Russ
Springer(0-1) suffered the loss in relief. 'It's just about getting in a
good hitting position and just going out there and being prepared,' Hamilton
said. 'You try to hit in your own capacity and not do too much. I just try to
have a good approach, day after day, game by game, and pitch by pitch.'
