Dodgers go deep!

In a blockbuster trade today the Oakland Athletics send Josh Hamilton and two scrubs to the Dodgers for Matt Kemp, Homer Bailey and John Lester. Tommy Lasorda is being massively questioned for giving up so much for a guy with such a checkered past. When asked about the move Tommy stated, “I feel we have the arms to get us in the playoffs but we needed another bat to get us into the discussion as a contender. Josh gives us that bat. This guy is an athlete and will make this team better. I think Chavez Ravine will be rocking tonight when he comes to bat against the Marlins. It will be good to see him in Dodger Blue!”
The Dodgers have mixed results in trading in recent years. About a year ago the dodgers guessed wrong when they shipped John Maine and Joba Chamberlain off to Texas for Homer Bailey. This deal could very well shape up to be very similar as all three new Athletics have very high ceilings. Matt Kemp is already getting talk as one of the best outfielders in the game and Lester has been lights out the last month. The change of scenery may be what bailey needs. Like all deals time will tell.
