2008 Season Preview Central

The team name has changed but the one thing that hasn't is you can always count on Cory Adams being at the top of the Central division, after moving in the middle of the night (he got tired of being hit on by every guy he ran into in San Francisco) Adams has made his way to Philadelphia and he's taking long time Hero Barry Bonds with him. The number two ranked team in the central Division is the Houston Astros, The Astros pulled off a Brilliant move last August when they acquired stud pitchers Josh Beckett and Matt Cain from L.A , throw in Jeff Francis and Jeremy Bonderman and you have a very formittive pitching rotation the bullpen though needs to step up and Improve from last year, The Astros are lead by veteran Lance Berkman and features young players such as Chris Young, Ryan Church and Stephen Drew, its going to be tough for Houston to start off as hot as they did last year but if they can acquire another hitter or two they will give Philly a run for their money. my prediction 78 wins. HE'S ALIVE! HE'S BACK! the Gentle Giant has awoken he's daily on the website now and he's making some noise and he has just enough hitting to keep him out of the basement, The Chicago Cubs have stud hitters like David ( big papi ) Ortiz, and Magglio Ordonez, plus quality hitters Aramis Ramirez, and Torii Hunter plus newly acquired leadoff hitter Jeff Keppinger, The ony question is the pitching staff Its shakier then Muhammad Ali's head during a Helicopter ride, Cliff is going to have to find some pitching somewhere But its great having you back. my prediction another 63 win season. That brings us to one of our four expansion teams welcome Jeff Shupert, The Red Sox's did a great job in the expansion draft adding top pitching in Scott Kazmir, and Rich Harden, add those two with Barry Zito, Jon Garland and John Danks and closer Hideki OkaJima and this team could surprise alot of teams, Not to forget the veteran hitters Like Miquel Tejada, J.D.Drew, Adrian Gonzalez and draft picks Jacoby Ellsbury and Garrett Anderson, The future for Boston is so bright Jeffs going to have to wear shades at the draft next season. My prediction 61 wins.
