The game was a scoreless tie after nine.  Philadelphia won the hard fought
contest in the 10th inning.  After two were out Romy Gonzalez lofted a
solo-blast 'downtown' making Philadelphia the victors to the delight of the
home town faithful.  Philadelphia had only 4 hits for the game.  
 
Kade Strowd(4-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Bennett Sousa(6-4) took the loss in relief.  Wth the win Philadelphia now has
a record of 33-26.  With this loss, Chicago (NL) has a 6-4 record of late,
37-22 overall.

Wesneski(3-5) was given the loss.  He was not very effective, surrendering 6

Giolito(1-5) finally bested his Detroit opposite, Quinn Priester(4-4), by the

St. Louis jumped on top of Detroit in the 6th inning scoring one runner on 2
base hits.  After an out was recorded, Ivan Herrera hit a bases-empty home
run.  St. Louis managed only 5 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Kenley Jansen earned his 8th save.  Priester ended up with the loss.  With
this win, St. Louis has a 24-35 record.  They have been 4-6 lately.  Detroit
has a record of 32-27 after the loss.
