Bo Bichette opened up the inning nicely when he doubled. Valdez then bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch. Bryce Harper then laced a base-knock plating a run. After an out was recorded, Yordan Alvarez came to bat and banged out a single. Jeff McNeil stepped into the box and drew a walk to load the bases.
