They say Vlad has never seen a pitch he didn’t think was hittable and he backed that notion up by clubbing 2,444 hits, 421 doubles, 450 HR and batted in 1,408 RBIs. The 2,444 hits is ranked 3rd all time, the 421 doubles is tied for 5th with Derek Jeter, the 450 HR is ranked 7th. He also sported a .297 lifetime batting average. He was also a 5 time All Star and won a World Series ring with the Atlanta Braves in 2009. Vlad enjoyed his greatest season in 1999 with the Baltimore Orioles when he hit .352 with 46 HR and 133 RBIs. Vlad will be entering the FCBL HOF as a Boston Red Sox. Congratulations to both Vladimir and than Boston manager Shane Egnew.
