The longtime Cardinals closer pitched in 489 games (7th all time for pitchers) compiling 287 saves (3rd all time). His 2.35 career ERA is second all time and his 1.02 WHIP is tied for the best career mark. Joe made the All Star team eight times in his career and won a ring with the Seattle Mariners in 2003 and the Cardinals in 2004. He will enter the Hall as a Cardinal.
